Most of us don't
look forward to cleaning. We'd rather be spending time with
our families, catching up with friends, even paying bills.
But whether it's keeping the house clutter free or battling
the bathroom, there are plenty of ways to cut down on the
time spent cleaning.
Check our Easy Living
Tips for Quick Cleanups to spend less time cleaning and
more time doing the things you love.

When you're cleaning the house, carry your cleaning
supplies with you in a pail or apron. |
 |
 |
Keep a basket in each room for clutter. Have the family
help clean out the baskets once a week. When unexpected
company arrives, simply put the baskets in the closet.

 |
For a speedy cleanup of toilet bowls, put a small
amount of your favorite Mr. Clean® scent in your
toilet bowls each night before bed. In the morning,
every bathroom will smell great. |
 |
 |
Use Swiffer® cloths to quickly clean the dashboard
of your car. |
 |
 |
Spend less time on dishes by filling the sink with
hot water and Dawn® before you prepare a meal. Add
the dirty dishes as you use them. By the time you are
finished, the dishes can be cleaned up easily. |
 |
 |
Keep Pampers® baby wipes handy for quick cleanups
in bathrooms and kitchens. |
 |
 |
Steam clean your microwave. Add four tablespoons of
lemon juice to one cup of water in a microwave-safe,
four-cup bowl. Boil for five minutes in the microwave,
allowing the steam to condense on the inside walls of
the oven. Wipe clean. |
 |
 |
Before cleaning the shower, turn on the hot water
for a few minutes to loosen the dirt and grime. |
 |
 |
If you live in a two-story house, don't get rid of
your old vacuum. Keep it upstairs so you don't have
to lug the vacuum up and down stairs. It'll save time
and energy. You can also keep a bucket of cleaning products,
such as Mr. Clean and Swiffer, on each floor of your
home. |

It may sound like a luxury, but hiring someone-even
a neighborhood high school student-to occasionally do
a thorough cleaning or just those most dreaded jobs
can be worth the money. |
