where do you enter the codes online for the monopoly sweepstakes?

  2. Nancy Kritzman 19/03/2014 at 9:35 pm

I love the reorganization of Shaw’s. The products are great, the prices/sales are terrific and the staff are extremely accommodating and very helpful regardless of what department or what you ask them to do. Thank you to all that have made Shaw’s a pleasant shopping experience.

    • Daniel Daniel 20/03/2014 at 4:58 pm

Hi Nancy! Thank you so much for your positive feedback! We truly appreciate and value your patronage. Please be sure to take our survey for your chance to win $100! Thank you!

    • Daniel Daniel 20/03/2014 at 5:03 pm

Nancy – By the way, I have to ask – Which store do you frequently shop at? Thank you!

  3. cheryl sprague 19/03/2014 at 10:11 pm

my husband entered a code and it said he won but how do we find out what he won?

    • Daniel Daniel 20/03/2014 at 4:55 pm

Hi Cheryl – Great question. Just log back in and at the top of the page you’ll see a button to hit to view your code history. You’ll be able to see any winning prizes you’ve had. Thanks!

  4. Derek 19/03/2014 at 10:59 pm

I have codes to enter online. However, the link is not working. will try back later. Very frustrating.

  5. Stef 20/03/2014 at 12:57 pm

I cannot enter my codes on line total frustrating!

  6. arleen 20/03/2014 at 2:43 pm

send some winning tickets to NH

  7. earl wright 20/03/2014 at 3:00 pm

I guess there are no winning tickets in Rhode Island. My book has been full with every one but one certain piece since the game started. I cant even win a $5 dollor card

    • Daniel Daniel 20/03/2014 at 4:17 pm

Hi Earl, I’m sorry for the disappointment so far, but the game isn’t over yet. Good luck!

  8. Donna 20/03/2014 at 4:37 pm

Agreed Earl – same with me(I am from RI).
I did ask at our Shaws yesterday if anyone had won anything yet?(to the cashier). He said yes someone won the xbox…then added it was an employee…hmmmnnn? coincidence?

  9. Cathy 20/03/2014 at 8:47 pm

Like Earl and Donna, I would love to see some winners in my state — Vermont! Still hoping!

  10. Tyrone 20/03/2014 at 8:53 pm

I’m from Rhode Island, even if I don’t win I’d feel good about someone from Little Rhody winning.

  11. Marissa 21/03/2014 at 12:52 am

I thought when you shopped at the store you automatically get a game piece? Then for every other qualifying item you get additional game pieces? Is this true?

    • Customer Care 21/03/2014 at 5:15 pm

Good Morning, Marissa. That is correct, you will receive one game ticket for the initial transaction and then additional tickets for the qualifying purchases so hunt while you shop and best of luck! ~Wayne

  12. Paula 21/03/2014 at 3:05 am

Are the “rare” game pieces already out or are they going to be handed out towards the end? How many “rare” game pieces are there for each prize level?

    • Customer Care 21/03/2014 at 5:16 pm

Hello, Paula. All of them are out there, but there is only one rare game piece for each prize we are giving away. We have already given away some great prizes, but there are a lot more out there, so good luck! Hope this helps and answers your questions. ~Wayne

  13. GAIL 21/03/2014 at 3:11 am

I have completed the pieces for a 25.00 gift card. How do you submit. Do you cut out that piece of the board, do you copy it, directions not clear or do you wait until the end and mail the whole board. thanks for your help

    • Customer Care 21/03/2014 at 5:14 pm

Good Morning, Gail. To submit your win and claim the prize you simply need to take your game board in to the customer service desk at your local Shaw’s. Once there they’ll remove the winning game pieces and transfer them to a new board for you to sign. After that you can keep playing to collect more prizes. Congratulations on your win! ~Wayne

  14. Kim 21/03/2014 at 4:00 am

Where are the winning game pieces for Vermont? 🙂

    • Customer Care 21/03/2014 at 5:12 pm

The game pieces are out and about, Kim. There is only one rare game piece for each prize being given out however. Good luck and happy hunting! ~Wayne

  15. Kim 21/03/2014 at 4:05 am

My books been full too Earl since week 2..I am missing the 1piece to every prize like you, I know its there somewhere, just keeping the faith and shopping….shopping….shopping.
The best of luck to all the states. :)&

  16. Susan 22/03/2014 at 2:17 pm

When I get an Instant Winner ticket, it also gives a message “We recommend that you hold onto your game tickets until the end of the promotion.” The winners get turned in to customer service for even more tickets. Why should I be holding on to losing tickets?

    • Customer Care 23/03/2014 at 8:19 pm

Thanks for the question, Susan. Sorry for any confusion. This is a general message, and is especially useful for customers who choose to wait until the end to redeem their tickets. I hope you have a good rest of your day. ~Kimberly

  17. tammy 22/03/2014 at 2:54 pm

I love my local Shaw’s. My two year old usually comes shopping with me and his first stop is to the deli for a slice of cheese, and then he knows from watching his older sister that the bakery is were you go to get a cookie!! In each department they are very friendly and also interact with my son and make his giggle. I love that. Everyone is always so willing to help me with what I’m looking for. And he is so excited that the little shopping carts are back. Thanks for making our shopping experience wonderful. As we have been going more recently so I can get those monopoly tickets to try to win mommy something. Thanks Shaw’s:)

    • Customer Care 23/03/2014 at 8:19 pm

You’re welcome, Tammy! I’m so glad to hear that shopping at our store provides enjoyment for your whole family. Which Shaw’s do you shop? I’d love to share your comments with the Store Director so that they have the opportunity to hear how much you enjoy the store, too. Thanks for being a fan and I hope you have a great rest of your day. ~Kimberly

  18. tammy 22/03/2014 at 2:56 pm

I also have a few prizes that need one more piece to win. I am praying to get the last piece I need for the ipad air I would love to win that for me. So I have been running to my local Shaw’s more trying to get as many tickets. Maybe I will be lucky.

  19. Linda 22/03/2014 at 6:50 pm

This is fun, I also have some waiting for a piece or two, but keep the good attituade, thanks shaws.

  20. Rita Andrews 22/03/2014 at 9:04 pm

I wonder if your gi ving any of these prizes away!

  21. Brenda 22/03/2014 at 9:38 pm

The winners all seem to be from certain stores. I cannot believe I have not even gotten one of the smaller prizes. I am very disappointed in the game so far. I shop in Ashland, MA and have not see any winners for anything.

    • Customer Care 23/03/2014 at 8:18 pm

I’m sorry to hear of your disappointment, Brenda. All of the game pieces are distributed randomly to our stores. For the most accurate information on the chances of winning certain prizes, please be sure to check out the Official Rules at – Please be assured that I will make sure the Marketing Team hears of your concerns. I hope you have a good rest of your day. ~Kimberly

  22. Sowmya 23/03/2014 at 1:29 am

First of all, I love this game, I shop a lot these days to collect the game pieces, but seems like I keep getting the same pieces over and over… Just wondering if they are giving out the winning pieces towards the end of the game!

    • Customer Care 23/03/2014 at 8:18 pm

Thanks for sharing your feedback with us, Sowmya. We’re glad to hear you’re enjoying the game. The game pieces are being distributed randomly throughout the promotion to all of the stores. There is not a specific date or store when winning pieces will be found. For more information you can always check out the Official Rules at – Have a great day! ~Kimberly

  23. Savannah 23/03/2014 at 11:59 am

I looked at the winners, Not a one From Cape Cod!!! Every one of the code numbers I have gotten start with a C, does that mean Cape Cod? Out of over a hundred I have done every one started with a C.

    • Customer Care 23/03/2014 at 8:17 pm

The codes or letters on each ticket does not have to do with where they are found, as the tickets are distributed randomly throughout our stores, Savannah. Winners are random, and the odds of winning and be found in the Official Rules at – If you have any other questions, please don’t hesitate to let us know. Thanks for being a Shaw’s customer! ~Kimberly

  24. frank 23/03/2014 at 2:30 pm

I don’t see any winners in the little state of ri. p/s send some. thanks

    • Customer Care 24/03/2014 at 12:38 pm

The winning is not over yet Frank.Be sure to check back as we update the winners list to see if someone from your state has won. You can view the odds of winning in the Official Rules at . Good luck to you and thank you for shopping at Shaw’s.

  25. CAROL OAKES 23/03/2014 at 3:34 pm

Why is it necessary to print out the form for a winning ticket?? Is the original ticket not proof enough??? Unconscionable waste of natural resources. And what about those prices – bought Scott toilet tissue there for $9.99, later found it at Rite Aid for $6.99, same package, same week just past – it’s going back.

    • Customer Care 24/03/2014 at 12:38 pm

Hello, Carol. It is necessary to print out the form for the ticket, so that it can be sent to the game Administrator for verification. We are sorry to learn of your disappointment with regard to the pricing at Shaw’s. As you may know, retailers’ prices are based on the promotions or deals that are offered by various manufacturers and distributors. Please be assured that the information you have provided will be forwarded to our teams. Have a great week, and thank you for sharing. ~Cindy

  26. pam gilleo 23/03/2014 at 10:29 pm

    I can’t enter with my tickets online…Why?

  27. Kristi 24/03/2014 at 1:18 am

Is there any need to hold onto codes that are not “winners”. Will these be needed in the case of verifying codes for the sweepstakes winners, or at the end, if the big prize is not redeemed and they “draw” form the codes entered online? I could not find anywhere were this part was explained. Thank you.

  28. Kristi 24/03/2014 at 1:37 am

Are the number of each available prize listed per catergory including the prizes from the other participating stores like acme and albertsons?

    • Customer Care 24/03/2014 at 12:36 pm

Those are excellent questions, Kristi. You may hold on to the game codes as you see fit. There will be a second chance drawing if none of the top 6 prizes are claimed by 6/10/2014. To view a list of the prizes available for your area, and the number of prizes available per category please visit . Hope this helps, and good luck! ~Cindy

  29. Manda 24/03/2014 at 1:48 am

Why is there only 1 rare piece per price out there if there are a number of winners possible? I have been playing for most of the time & am not getting very much. It seems very hard to win.

  30. jeannine c 24/03/2014 at 1:18 pm

I just entered 27 game pieces and not a single one could be added to my game board. 🙁 bring some winning pieces to NH

    • Customer Care 25/03/2014 at 2:29 pm

Sorry to hear your disappointment, Jeannine. The Monopoly game pieces are distributed randomly to our stores throughout the promotion. For information on the odds of winning, be sure to check out the Official Rules at – Please be assured that we do value your feedback and will be further to keep it in mind for the future. I hope you have a good rest of your day! ~Kimberly

  31. Robilee 25/03/2014 at 1:46 am

Hi! How does the second chance drawing work and what are the top six prizes? THANKS!!

    • Customer Care 25/03/2014 at 2:29 pm

Good question, Robilee! If none of the top six prizes are claimed by June 10, 2014 then a random second chance drawing from all valid online sweepstakes entries will occur on or around June 20, 2014. This drawing will be for one cash prize of $500,000. For information on the second chance drawing and the prizes available please check out the Official Rules at – I hope this helps! Have a great day. ~Kimberly

  32. maria 25/03/2014 at 6:56 pm

Is there only 1 rare piece per game or 1 rare piece per number of prizes in that game. For instance if you are awarding 10 prizes, will there be at least 10 rare pieces for that game?

    • Customer Care 25/03/2014 at 9:30 pm

There should be one rare piece per available prize, Maria, so if we are awarding 10 prizes, there will be 10 rare pieces. I hope this information helps! Have fun and good luck! ~Marie

  33. Dusty 25/03/2014 at 9:04 pm

People, people, people, of course you haven’t won yet, if everybody won it wouldn’t be a contest! (If you google “rare Shaw’s Monopoly game pieces” you can see which ones are the hard to get pieces.) It’s just like playing the lottery, there can only be a few winners- but somebody has to win! I think it’s an awesome idea and Shaw’s is making it more fun to shop. Thanks!

  34. john michaels 26/03/2014 at 1:03 pm

The tickets entered on line are used for a second chance drawing?? Are the winners/winner notified automatically or do we need to check the web site for the winning number on the tickets that were entered?? How many second chance winners could there be???

    • Customer Care 26/03/2014 at 9:41 pm

Good questions, John. Potential winners will be contacted based on the contact information provided to us. There could be a total of six potential second chance winners, but this would only occur if none of the top six prizes are claimed. Thanks for playing! ~Zachary

  35. Chelsea 26/03/2014 at 6:28 pm

If there are only 1 each of the rare pieces how can there be example 3 winners for the dream house?

    • Customer Care 26/03/2014 at 9:37 pm

Hello there, Chelsea. The amounts of rare game pieces are equivalent to the number of prizes available. Thanks for playing! ~Zachary

  37. EARL WRIGHT 26/03/2014 at 9:56 pm

  38. brad 27/03/2014 at 1:53 am

I have over 1700 tickets so far and nothing i think the game is a hoax nothing more than a gimmick nobody at my store has won anything i mean come on with the odds you state in your faq section i should have won something like 10 times by now bangor me hasnt won anything so whats the deal you send all the good tickets to other states not a coincidenece theres only one shaws in the area and they get all the buisness they need therefore no winners are needed to boost sales I would have thought that out of 6,922 game pieces I would have gotten at least a 5 dollar gift card I mean really

    • Customer Care 27/03/2014 at 12:59 pm

Hello, Brad. We’re sorry to hear about the experience you have been having while playing the Monopoly Game. The game pieces are randomly distributed. We’ll be sharing your complaint with the Monopoly Promotion Team for review. We apologize for the disappointment this has caused you. ~Stephanie

  39. Dennis 27/03/2014 at 12:21 pm

OMG PEOPLE!!! Stop complaining about not winning.

This promotion is a benefit to Shaw’s customers and the game pieces do not cost extra money. If the only reason you are shopping at Shaw’s is to “win” then you already won by getting low prices and coupons galore.

I have not won any of the game prizes but the combination of coupons have exceeded the lower gift card values.

If you are that unhappy with “not winning” then I am sure that the higher priced stores would love to have your business – and that means MORE WINNING CHANCES for the rest of us!! LOL

  40. Jamie 27/03/2014 at 5:18 pm

Well said Dennis! I haven’t won anything either and have been an avid player since the game began. But I shop at Shaw’s anyway because I like their quality and prices, and have had fun playing!

  41. Dale 27/03/2014 at 8:17 pm

Hi, after emailing you regarding four bonus tickets which I discovered I had won online after entering the codes, I emailed to say I do not have a printer. Was there some way to rectify this? It was suggested to me that I visit my local library, which I did today. Well, the winning bonus tickets did not print. Nothing wrong with their computers and/or printers. 🙁 Shaw’s, do you have to make this so difficult! I have been getting quite a run around over 4 bonus tickets. The game was fun… but now it’s beginning to be a headache!

  42. Paul Marinucci 27/03/2014 at 10:52 pm

Hi – When I click on the MONOPOLY link/icon…it does NOT take me to a game code entry screen. It takes me to the “Monopoly winners to date” page. What is wrong with your website??

    • Customer Care 28/03/2014 at 3:30 pm

Thanks for playing, Paul. Everything looks ok on our end. At the bottom of the Shaw’s website there are two links the one on the right is for the winners to date, while the one on the left should be the game link that takes you to the code entry page. If you are still having errors let us know and we can try to assist you further. For your convenience the direct game link is Best of luck to you in the game! ~Wayne

  43. Cecile Renzi 28/03/2014 at 8:47 pm

Just finished reading list of winners/comments (3/28@4/42PM)
At that time 4 IPads had been won, 3 $1K grocery gift cards, 2 $2,500 grocery cards, 1 $5K ATV won and Online 1 500 gift card and 2 $1K sweepstakes winners.

Is that all of the winners to date?
Enjoying the game for what it is.

    • Customer Care 29/03/2014 at 2:41 pm

Hello, Cecile. At this time, that list is up to date. Thank you for taking the time to contact us with your question. Have a great day and good luck! ~Stephanie

  44. earl 29/03/2014 at 8:12 pm

to dennis and is this promo a benefit to the SHAWS SHOPERS.the coupons are for the most stupidist products and do not go over a simple dollor.
all the stores are making way to much money off of us all. so yea for what i spend a week at the store it would be nice to win just stinks getting the same stupid game pieces every time you go.and its so much fun to tear open the tickets to see the same ones you already have isnt jamie

    • Customer Care 30/03/2014 at 6:48 pm

  45. Peter 30/03/2014 at 8:00 pm

Sunday afternoon 3/30/2014, just before 4PM. Had to reset my password for some unknown reason. Now can not connect to the Monopoly Game site. Previously there was a link on the Shaw’s home page that took you to the location. Why are you making it so difficult find this?
On another note, I have noticed that since the game began, the items that promote a free game piece have increased in price. I am a very price savvy shopper, I know what I am seeing and talking about.
Based on the comments of others, I agree once you collect all of the “common” pieces, good luck getting the last piece in any of the sets.
I did get a coupon that awarded me a free 8 pack of Hershey’s candy bars. Retail price $1.99.
How about getting the monopoly link fixed.

    • Customer Care 31/03/2014 at 4:32 pm

I’m sorry to hear that you’ve run into this bump playing the Monopoly game, Peter. I’ll be sure to share this information with our online team for review. In the meantime, please visit to play the game. Let me know if there’s anything else I can help with. Thanks! ~Cindy

  46. Linda 30/03/2014 at 8:33 pm

How do I reprint a prize form, my printer jammed and it will not allow me to reprint?

    • Customer Care 31/03/2014 at 5:04 pm

Good afternoon, Linda. For any sort of help with the online game we ask that you contact online game support. Their email address is and they will be able to assist you with any questions or concerns you have about the online game. Thanks for playing! ~Wayne

  47. Henry 03/04/2014 at 8:13 pm

Hello! I’m confused about how the game board works. I’ve entered all the codes, but if some of the codes weren’t winners can i use the 4 game pieces on my game board? And if I match up all 4 for one category do I win that prize? If I do, should I take the board into Shaw’s and show them? Thank you so much!

    • Customer Care 03/04/2014 at 9:20 pm

I’d love to help clear up that confusion, Henry! Whether or not the codes for the Monopoly Online Game are winners, you can place the four game markers on the Monopoly Game Board. If you match all of the markers to the game board under a particular prize, you will win that prize (subject to verification). Once you match those markers, please visit your local Shaw’s for the associate to review and to fill out the appropriate forms! If you need more information, please visit for our Official Rules. Thanks for playing and for shopping at Shaw’s! ~Marie

  48. Lindsay 06/04/2014 at 10:45 pm

Just out of curiosity, what happens to the unclaimed prizes? Wouldn’t it make sense to put all of those in the online second chance drawing?! Love the game, thanks for the fun. Another person from Lil Rhodey, hoping someone in our state wins this time!

    • Customer Care 07/04/2014 at 3:42 pm

Hey there, Lindsay! If none of the top six (6) prizes [three (3) $1,000,000 Cash (30-year annuity) prizes or three (3) $500,000 Dream Home prizes] as described in Rule #3, are claimed by June 10, 2014, ONLY THEN will a random second chance drawing from all valid sweepstakes entries (as described in Rule #4) occur on or about June 20, 2014 for one (1) $500,000 Cash Prize. For more info, please visit: . Good luck! ~Cindy

  49. Lois Woods 08/04/2014 at 1:40 pm

On 3/13/14 I had a winning ticket:CMX4-Y629-PWKH. Somehow or other, I think I entered it once in the computer, and then when I was at the computer on 4/8/14, the message that I got was that the code had already been used. Thank you.

  51. Kendrah Whyte 09/04/2014 at 8:41 am

    Please solve this.

    • Customer Care 09/04/2014 at 2:20 pm

Thanks for reaching out to us, Kendrah. You are able to check your online Monopoly account for codes that you have previously entered. To view these codes , you will want to log into your Monopoly account, go to your “My Account” page and click on “code history.” We suggest looking there first, if you do not see the code you mentioned, please let us know. Good luck and we hope you have a great rest of your day. ~Kimberly

  52. TheClammer 13/04/2014 at 2:57 am

My mum and I play Monop together. I enter all the codes/she does not compute.
It appears to me that when I enter a code from a ticket that she received, it is never a winner. I wonder whether the system matches the code to a receipt, then checks whether the person entering the code is the one that paid for that order.
Does the system EVER award a winning code to someone other than the buyer?

    • Customer Care 13/04/2014 at 8:53 pm

All tickets and codes are distributed randomly, and are not connected to a specific purchase or receipt. The winning codes are found by chance, so would not have to do with the online account being used to redeemed them. For more information on the odds of winning and game rules, please check out the Official Rules at – I hope this answers your question and if you need further assistance, please let me know. ~Kimberly

  53. Melissa 14/04/2014 at 12:35 am

Do small rural stores get tickets at the same frequency as larger urban stores?

    • Customer Care 15/04/2014 at 11:17 pm

Hello, Melissa. The distribution of the tickets are at random. We do our best to distribute the game tickets based on the volume of play last year. ~Stephanie

  54. becky 16/04/2014 at 11:04 pm

I got 50 tickets yesterday and I could not add a single one to the two boards I am playing. So many of the same ones, over and over. Not much winning going on in little RI especially Wakefield. No one as of yet in Wakefield!

  55. Douglas 20/04/2014 at 8:38 pm

Is there any way to verify a winning ticket without the printed application? I do not have a printer. Can I get it printed at Shaw’s? Or can they verify through my mobile device?

    • Customer Care 21/04/2014 at 1:47 pm

The online prize form does need to be printed from your email in order for you to be able to redeem it, Douglas. I recommend borrowing a friend’s printer, or I know in some areas local libraries have the option to print. I wish you the best of luck and I hope you have a good rest of your day. ~Kimberly

  56. Stephanie 22/04/2014 at 10:30 pm

I Love this game. it Sucks me in every single year. However I have been waiting now for 1 piece for each price. Its sad because I would be grateful for ANYTHING. I feel sometimes. the only way 2 win is 2 go 2 a million diff. shaw’s and also buy more food than affordable. I think the people that throw them away or dont take them should be kind enough 2 give them 2 someone else who does play. I have asked too. I am itching 2 win Itching!!!!! good luck to all of you!!!

  57. sabrina 22/04/2014 at 10:33 pm

I always play for the pieces but i constantly get the same pieces why dont i get the ones i ever need?

    • Customer Care 24/04/2014 at 12:31 pm

Hello, Sabrina. The game tickets have been randomly distributed in order to increase everyone’s chances of winning. We apologize that you have not won yet, but if you keep playing you just might be the next big winner! Thank you for taking the time to stop by today. ~Stephanie

  58. Jeanie 23/04/2014 at 4:53 am

Hi — So if no one claims any of the top 6 prizes, there is only one drawing for a $500,000 cash prize — correct?

BUT it would only take one of the six prizes to be claimed then there will be no second chance drawing at all — correct?

Thanks. Shaws is a fun place to shop. We love the fish counter and sometimes those little prepared meals come in really handy!

    • Customer Care 24/04/2014 at 12:35 pm

I’m glad that you have fun shopping at Shaw’s, Jeannie! And you are correct: If none of the top 6 prizes are claimed, there will be one second chance cash prize drawing for $500,000, but there will be no drawing if at least one of the top prizes are claimed. Thank you for posting and have a wonderful day. ~Marie

  59. Karen 23/04/2014 at 11:20 pm

What a bunch of whiners! I am glad it is a difficult process to weed out players and increase my odds of winning! Hard work pays off right?

  60. Nikki Page 27/04/2014 at 4:37 pm

I noticed that so far only $39000. in prizes have been won. There are only 3 weeks left in the game. Is that a potential 55 million in prizes or will there actually be 55 million in prizes?

    • Customer Care 28/04/2014 at 3:44 pm

Great question, Nikki! It is a potential for $55 million in prizes, spread across all participating locations nationwide. Don’t forget! If none of the top 6 prizes are collected, then there will be a second chance drawing for a $500,000 Cash Prize! For more our Official Rules and Odds of Winning, please visit – Thank you for playing and good luck! ~Marie

  61. Gracie 27/04/2014 at 10:13 pm

a few weeks ago, me and my sister were entering codes online and 2 of the codes said instant winner what does that mean.

  62. Chris 28/04/2014 at 1:21 am

I’m Happy I won a free bag of lettuce with my online code hahaha. At least its something……

  63. saleh 28/04/2014 at 10:44 pm

Please send some winning tickets to Boston. non of the winners are from there should I move to another state looking for tickets?????

What is the last day in the competition May 5th or 20th? because one of the Shaws cashers told me that it will finish by May 5th

  64. Eileen 02/05/2014 at 2:59 pm

Hi, I was lucky enough to win $1,000.00 free groceries. I was wondering how long it takes to get the call from the store that I can come in and claim my prize. I sent off all the paper work, and it was received 4/21/14. Thank you. I can’t wait to shop!!!!! 🙂

    • Customer Care 02/05/2014 at 4:01 pm

Good afternoon, Eileen. Congratulations on your win! You will be notified within 21 days after the turn in of your tickets and game board. Now its just a game of waiting. Thanks for playing! ~Wayne

  65. Sharon 03/05/2014 at 3:09 pm

Soooo close, so little time left! Who knows my fingers are crossed!
Have a great day and thanks for making shopping more fun!

  66. saleh 06/05/2014 at 4:07 am

Dear Monopoly organizers, I don’t think any body is going to win anything more than 5,000 $ I just turned in 50 instant winners tickets and got 100 new monopoly tickets and as expected I couldn’t be able to get a single piece or even a single instant winners ticket. This game is about to finish and in some places they ran out of tickets and yet no body won a prize more than 5,000 $ don’t you think that is wearied !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I had enough with this game any way thank you for making the shopping more fun and good luck for everybody

  67. Emily 06/05/2014 at 5:50 pm

Does the winner of the second chance drawing from online codes need to have saved their ticket in order to claim the prize? I have not seen this specific point addressed in any of the comments so far.

    • Customer Care 07/05/2014 at 7:41 pm

Great question, Emily! Your codes are saved on your Shaw’s Monopoly account, so while it is not required, we do recommend retaining your codes for the Online Sweepstakes and Second Chance Prize drawings. I hope that helps! Good luck! ~Marie

I wanted to enter your $100 weekly survey drawing but my store’s location isn’t a choice. I go to the one in Dorchester on Morrissey Blvd.

    • Customer Care 09/05/2014 at 1:00 pm

  70. henry 09/05/2014 at 5:57 pm

whiners? With 11 days to go in this “sweepstakes” I checked Albertsons, Shaws, Jewel/Osco and Acme websites to see where the big winners are. There are none of the 3 $1M cash, none of the 3 $500k dream home, none of the 8 $100k cash, none of the 10 $40k vehicle of choice and none of the 12 $40k motorcycle or boat winners shown. Of the 20 possible $25k backyard makeovers, only one winner at Jewel/Osco has been listed and only one (at Acme) winner of 24 possible $10k family vacations. Of the 80 “big” prizes supposedly being awarded, only 2 have been officially claimed/awarded. Note that the so-called “Second Chance” drawing only occurs after the end of the game if none of the top 6 prizes have been claimed. Believe it or not, the Jewel website shows 1 winner for the $25k backyard makeover, thus invalidating any chance of a second chance award. Either this game is a complete fraud or there are 78 real “losers” out there who received “winning” tickets that threw them out. Any states attorneys general looking at this promotion as fraudulent? Can you please explain how there can only be 2 winners in a sweepstakes when supposedly 80 winning tickets actually exist? There clearly has been interest by customers in collecting these pieces of paper, so the odds (funny how that works) of 97.5% of the winning tickets not being turned in are so astronomical that something is clearly amiss.

    • Customer Care 12/05/2014 at 2:36 pm

We are sorry to hear of your disappointment, Henry. Many people throughout the participating states are still collecting and checking their tickets and there is still time for winners to be validated. Please keep in mind that the odds of winning are clearly stated in the Official Rules, We realize that not everyone who receives game pieces are actually playing the game, meaning rare tickets may not come forward, for that reason we have a second chance drawing. As for when the Second Chance Drawing will occur, if the top six prizes are not claimed by June 10, 2014 only then will the random second chance drawing from all valid sweepstakes entries will occur on or around June 20th, 2014. The “6 top prizes” mentioned include the three (3) $1,000,000 Cash (30-year annuity) prizes and the three (3) $500,000 Dream Home prizes. We will be sure to share your comments and concerns with our Marketing Team. Thank you for stopping by our page. ~Kimberly

  71. Mackenzie 11/05/2014 at 12:29 pm

Do you know when this ends because I have many tickets but am not sure whether to get rid of them or not? Thanks

    • Customer Care 14/05/2014 at 4:29 pm

You can earn new game tickets until May 20th, 2014 or while supplies last, Mackenzie. You have until June 10, 2014 at 11:59 pm PST to enter online sweepstakes codes on the Monopoly game website. Also, all potential prize winners need to present their winning game pieces to the Customer Service Desk at their local store by June 10th, 2014. I hope this answers your questions. Thanks for playing! ~Kimberly

  72. shannon 12/05/2014 at 1:06 pm

I just went to Shaw’s the other day and received game pieces. I have three pics that together make a complete box of stuffing! The store has no game boards so I was told to go online to see if I have all the pieces needed to claim a prize. I can’t find a game board or a list of the pieces needed to collect a prize anywhere. Any ideas on what to do? It’s for a $250 gift card.

    • Customer Care 12/05/2014 at 2:21 pm

Thanks for reaching out to us, Shannon. There are four game pieces needed to win the $250 Gift Card, they are I857, I858, I859 and I860. Also, to claim one of the prizes the winning pieces do need to be attached to a Monopoly game board. The only place where the game boards can be found is at participating store locations. Since your local store no longer has them available, I would be more than happy to check with other stores near by. Which store have you checked with already? I hope to hear back from you soon. ~Kimberly

  73. shannon 12/05/2014 at 3:07 pm

Kimberly – thank you. I’m in Maine, local store in Bangor. I think it’s the closest store. I can’t travel further this week to get a game board but it helps to know it didn’t win. It’s just a bit frustrating that they have ticket pieces but no one can win without attaching to a game board, which are gone.
Sort of seems like false advertising if they are still passing out game pieces to new players

  74. Holly 14/05/2014 at 1:09 am

Where do i go for a list of what pieces i need for the prizes? I dont have the board

    • Customer Care 14/05/2014 at 2:08 pm

The complete list of pieces is only available on the game boards, Holly. However, if you are looking for piece information on one or two prizes, it would be no problem to get that for you. Please keep in mind that a game board is required to submit winning game pieces; they can be found at the customer service desk at any Shaw’s location. I hope this helps. If you have any other questions or concerns, please me know. ~Kimberly

  75. Helene 14/05/2014 at 1:14 am

Hello, I had a couple tcodes that said I was a potential winner. I attached the original game code to the Sweepstakes Entry form and took to the local store. The register clerk gave me 2 extra bonus entries. It looks like there might have been an additional prize. Did I do this wrong?

    • Customer Care 14/05/2014 at 2:10 pm

Good question, Helen. The instant winner sweepstakes game codes should tell you on the site what prize you have won. If you are the winner of two free game tickets then you can redeem that prize at the customer service desk at the store, but if you win a different prize, your claim form does need to be submitted by mail. For further details, please see the Official Rules at – If you have any other questions or concerns, please let us know. ~Kimberly

  76. doris 14/05/2014 at 1:21 pm

I’m surprised to learn there are any winners as I was thinking they weren’t put into the mix yet. I buy a lot of canned cat food so have had about 150 bonus tickets in the last month – with about 40 added Winner Bonus tickets – and not one match – and apparently I’m not alone – don’t see any winners from the Burlington MA store.

    • Customer Care 15/05/2014 at 4:25 am

Thank you for your feedback about our Monopoly Collect and Win Game, Doris. All of the game tickets were distributed at random nationwide at the beginning of the promotion. Please see our Official Rules and Odds of Winning at – Thank you for playing and I hope you have a good rest of your day. ~Marie

  77. Donna 14/05/2014 at 3:37 pm

I noticed from the list of winners that no one from the Shaws in West Lebanon N.H. has won any big prizes.I know that this game is to get people in to shop in your stores, but only a few people benefit from it.I would rather see lower prices that everyone benefits from than a game with so few winners.

    • Customer Care 15/05/2014 at 4:25 am

Thank you for letting us know what you’d like to see at your local Shaw’s, Donna. We appreciate your comments about the Monopoly game, as well. All of the game tickets were distributed at random nationwide, so we really don’t know what stores got which pieces. Please see our Official Rules and Odds of Winning at – Thank you for playing and I hope you have a good rest of your day. ~Marie

  78. cee 16/05/2014 at 3:09 am

I am told that game pieces are no longer available anywhere. Is that true? Also, is the clorox a rare game piece? Thx

    • Customer Care 17/05/2014 at 6:06 am

Hello, Cee. We would be happy to check with local stores in your area. Most of our stores still have game pieces. What is your zip code or the store you shop at most? We await your response. ~Stephanie

  79. Kathy 16/05/2014 at 11:26 pm

I may not have won any “big” prizes, but I have scored with tons of coupons, including 3 of them for $10 off a $100 purchase. And I win every week with the great prices at Shaw’s! Keep up the great work!!

  80. ryan dennis 18/05/2014 at 2:01 am

is there a limit to the online codes entered? i’ve entered alot of codes recently and have gotten nothing but was getting winners toward the beginning when i was not entering them as much. can anyone help answer this?

    • Customer Care 18/05/2014 at 5:04 pm

There is no limit to the number of codes you can enter online, Ryan. The instant prizes are random. Either way, when you enter your Monopoly codes you are entered into the weekly Online Sweepstakes drawings, as well as the final drawing. The last weekly sweepstakes drawings will be held on May 20th and May 27th, 2014. Keep in mind that all online entries must be made by 11:59 p.m. Pacific Standard Time (“PST”) on June 10, 2014. I hopes this answers your questions. Have a great day! ~Kimberly

  81. KP 18/05/2014 at 6:49 pm

Can you please update the Winners List? The above list was last updated May 7th. And could you perhaps provide a listing of what prizes (and how many of each) are LEFT to be claimed? I think that would be very interesting to all the players/customers!

    • Customer Care 19/05/2014 at 12:59 pm

Thank you for the feedback, KP, and we’re grateful for your excitement! We’ll be updating the winner list by the end of the week, as new winners are still being finalized and confirmed. Thank you for your post and I hope you’ve been enjoying playing the Shaw’s Monopoly Collect & Win Game! ~Marie

I don’t see any winners from Fall River. The powers that be should make game piece distribution “across the board” fair to all cities that have a Shaw’s. There are honest hard working people in this city that patronize our local store daily/weekly. Some of the prize money should have been reserved for us too!

  85. Joseph Whelan 20/05/2014 at 4:34 pm

I had about four winners, all additional entry-code coupons. When I took them to my local Shaw’s yesterday, I learned that the store was all out of coupons. It took a while to go through all of my coupons and to print and attach the coupons, only to learn that I couldn’t acquire any more. I suggest that, if you resurrect the game in the future, you print “while supplies last” in larger size. I won’t be interested in playing, regardless. It takes too much time for too little return.

  86. Norm 21/05/2014 at 12:20 pm

This game is a joke. I don’t see any of the big prizes that were won. Perhaps the Tickets that were needed were never printed. It seems all the winners are in the MA area a few in NH and ME. Vt had very few, as for myself it was a waste I could have collected more in gas points at Price Chopper. I have not had 1 winning ticket since the first of March in the online game. Won’t be doing this promotion again. I feel they know where the winning tickets go by the # on the boxes.

  87. Nathan Richardson 22/05/2014 at 1:02 pm

Could someone tell me when the sweepstakes drawings will be? I hear that any prizes that aren’t claimed will also be included in the sweepstakes.. how do we find out if there are any unclaimed prizes. I can’t seem to find a website that informs us of this important information. Is there one?

    • Customer Care 22/05/2014 at 2:47 pm

Good questions, Nathan! The remaining Online Sweepstakes drawing will be on 5/27/14. Keep in mind that all online code entries must be made by 11:59 p.m. Pacific Standard Time (“PST”) on June 10, 2014. As for your question regarding the unclaimed prizes, if none of the top six (6) prizes [three (3) $1,000,000 Cash (30-year annuity) prizes or three (3) $500,000 Dream Home prizes] are claimed by June 10, 2014, only then will a random second chance drawing from all valid sweepstakes entries occur on or about June 20, 2014 for one (1) $500,000 Cash Prize. I hope this helps! For more details on the drawings and the Sweepstakes prizes, be sure to check out the Official Rules at – Thanks for being a Shaw’s fan! ~Kimberly

  88. Donna 24/05/2014 at 8:10 pm

Hi….I have played the game 2 times and have only won bonus tickets and the winners to date…..NOBODY from the Portsmouth, NH store has won! What’s up with that? I have been waiting for 1 piece for most of the prizes for a while and now the game is over and nothing and I see nobody’s name from the Portsmouth store as a winner. Very disappointed customer

  89. Chrs 28/05/2014 at 3:24 pm

Has this ended early? The N Hampton store is not giving out pieces.

    • Customer Care 29/05/2014 at 12:53 pm

Hello, Chrs. The game did not end early. This years Monopoly Game was scheduled to run February 5, 2014 to May 20, 2014. The last day to collect markers was May 20. You still have until June 10, 2014 to turn in any potential winners. I hope this information helped. Have a great day and thank you for shopping at Shaw’s. ~Stephanie

  90. Maureen Bilodeau 30/05/2014 at 3:18 pm

I shop Shaws every week driving further than I need too because I pass live closer to two other major markets. I have always played the sweepstakes in your store and I spend an average between $150 – 220 a week. However now that it is getting towards the end of the sweepstakes the last two times I went to the store I was told they were out of game pieces. GREAT! To me this is unacceptable. I was told I could go to another Shaws to claim them (which is over an hours drive from my home). This coupled with the fact that at least twice a month I have to return to the store because prices were rung up wrong or sale items were not given. I think it’s time to shop elsewhere for my groceries.

    • Customer Care 02/06/2014 at 3:33 pm

Hello, Maureen. Thank you for sharing your experience with the Monopoly Game. Please know that your business is very important to us and that this game was meant to add an extra layer of fun to your shopping experience. There were some very happy winners out there, and we’re sorry to hear that you didn’t win. In regards to the ticket outage, it’s important to know that there are a limited number of tickets printed, which dictate the odds of winning. So it is by plan that tickets run out, so that all the rare pieces go out into circulation, therefore the tickets were only available while supplies last. We appreciate you taking the time to contact us and we will be sure that the promotions team receives your comments. ~Stephanie

  91. Tracy 03/06/2014 at 5:14 pm

SO am I understanding the rules correctly that if the major prizes are NOT won that you are not giving them away in a drawing but instead giving away ONE prize of $500,000?

Luring in patrons with the promise of a prize that’s not actually going to be given away is ridiculous.
    If so…..Hannaford’s here I come!

  92. Daniel 03/06/2014 at 6:00 pm

For the mail-in entries it says to print your full name and sign your full legal name: does that require one’s middle name or initial, or just first and last? Thank you.

  93. Brandon 05/06/2014 at 3:47 am

Even though the board game is over, I have come very close on several sections, of winning by just one piece. All I missing for half of them is one or two pieces, but was wondering if there are any consolation prizes?

When is the 2nd chance drawing and how can I enter? Do I mail my board in?

    Thank you.

    Brandon G

  94. George B 09/06/2014 at 1:51 pm

Brandon, the game tickets that have a code are entered online at the official Monopoly site for either an instant win or, if you do not win, the second chance drawing for one of 75 $1,000 Shaw’s grocery gift cards will be drawn from all entries. In addition, if the 6 top prizes are not claimed via the game board, they will also be included in the second chance drawing which is June 10th. Today is the last day to submit your potential winning game tickets from your board or online instant winners. Good Luck!

  95. Syl 10/06/2014 at 11:54 am

I have a bunch of online game codes to enter. Where is the link? The game says it expires tonight at 11:59 pm

  96. Jolie 12/06/2014 at 1:48 pm

Did anybody win any of the top six (6) prizes? I thought only the physical submission of the game board had to be submitted by June 10th as it says “deadline to submit winning Game Board is June 10, 2014”. Online submissions are not “winning Game Boards” but hope to win the big prize. I was prepared to enter my online codes and thought I had until June 20th to do so – but it says the game has ended and I can’t submit them online. It’s all moot if somebody did win one of the top six prizes. Please advise. Thank you.

We’d like to apologize for any confusion, Jolie. The second chance drawing can occur on or around June 20th, 2014. As of yet, the top prizes have not been claimed, however, it can take up to 21 days to verify a winner. ~Victor

  97. RENE 12/06/2014 at 7:11 pm

Can anyone tell me who won the monopoly second chance drawing, please?

    • Customer Care 13/06/2014 at 12:47 pm

There is still some time before the drawing, Rene. If the top 6 prizes have not been claimed then the second chance drawing will occur on or around June 20, 2014. ~Victor

  98. Donald 13/06/2014 at 3:50 pm

Why am I not surprised that the top prizes haven’t been claimed yet – maybe because Shaw’s owners – private equity firms made it such that it would be impossible ie. needed game pieces would not even be printed. I played religiously for the entire promotion and didn’t even win $5, but I did “win” extra worthless game pieces. Yay! Did anyone see that if none of the top 6 prizes totalling $4.5 million are redeemed, Shaw’s will have a second chance drawing for $500,000 – about 10% of what they advertised could be won. I don’t think this promotion made me shop more at Shaw’s (maybe it did), but I’m definitely shopping less there now! Good luck Cerberus Capital, although they will probably get the value inflated and then turn around in a couple of years and sell it for way more than the paid or take it public. What they should really focus on is better customer service and training in stores.

    • Customer Care 15/06/2014 at 2:42 pm

  99. Jolie 14/06/2014 at 2:01 am

Thanks for the reply, Victor – so is it possible to still enter my codes online then? Again, they online codes are not “winning game boards” so should not be required to be submitted by June 10th. Thank you.

  100. Lauren 20/06/2014 at 1:12 am

Did they have the drawing for the top six prizes? I’ve heard no news of the winners and it was to happen I thought after 6/10.

    • Customer Care 21/06/2014 at 10:40 pm

Hello there, Lauren. The Second Chance Drawing occurred yesterday (6/20/14), and we will post the results as soon as we have verified the winner. Thanks for playing! ~Zachary

I thought there was supposed to be a drawing for 75 $1000 grocery gift cards and 1 grand prize of $15,000 for the on-line game. When does that happen?

    • Customer Care 29/06/2014 at 8:31 pm

Good question, Anna! The random drawings for the online sweepstakes took place on various dates throughout the promotion (on February 18, February 25, March 4, March 11, March 18, March 25, April 1, April 8, April 15, April 22, April 29, May 6, May 13, May 20 and May 27, 2014). Heya just wanted to give you a brief heads up and let you
know a few of the pictures aren’t loading correctly. I’m not sure why but
I think its a linking issue. I’ve tried it in two different browsers and
    both show the same outcome.

Woah! I’m really loving the template/theme of
this website. It’s simple, yet effective. A lot of times it’s tough to get that “perfect balance” between user friendliness and visual appearance.
I must say you have done a fantastic job with this.
Additionally, the blog loads super quick for me on Chrome.
    Outstanding Blog!

  116. Jessica Richards 15/04/2015 at 4:18 pm

I shopped today and cashed in some instant winners for extra game pieces. The customer service desk gave me associate pieces instead of the regular collect and win pieces. I opened them all up before I noticed they were different. Can I still trade them in for customer tickets? I got 20 from instant winners and they are completely unusable to me now.

    • Customer Care 16/04/2015 at 12:52 pm

Hello, Jessica. You should certainly be able to take those tickets back and get them exchanged. We are sorry to hear that the tickets got mixed up in the first place. Thank you for taking the time to contact us and let us know if you have any issues. ~Stephanie

When I win a new ticket with a coded number why do I have to have to long on to my computer to find out that the new ticket is not a winner. Why not just tell me right up front on the ticket that it is not a winner. Seems like your wasting my time.

Hello there, Kristy. Unfortunately, without being able to look at the ticket, we would not be able to provide you with the information on what you might have won. You would need to take the ticket into your local store and have them take a look at it. Thanks for stopping by! ~Stephanie

  121. Kathy Letourneau 25/04/2015 at 5:46 pm

Just my opinion . I prefer the promotion where we were able to get pots and pans. At least after spending money in the store there is a possability of walking away with something unlike the monopoly game where even winning a $5.00 gift card doesn’t seem possible.

    • Customer Care 27/04/2015 at 2:36 pm

Thank you for your feedback, but I’m sorry to hear that you are disappointed with the game, Kathy. I’ll be sharing your comments with our Marketing Team for future promotions. ~Liralen

  122. loretta 25/04/2015 at 7:10 pm

doesn’t Washington state count. have seen no winners on the west coast.

    • Customer Care 27/04/2015 at 12:57 pm

Hi Loretta, there are no Shaw’s stores on the West Coast. There are stores through out the US that are participating in the game, but have their own separate winners’ list under their banner.

  123. Patsy 27/04/2015 at 7:08 pm

I love shopping at Shaw’s and win or not, that won’t change. However, I do not believe the winning rare pieces are evenly distributed throughout the New England area. When the game first began and for the first 2-3 weeks, I rarely received a duplicate. Now that is all I receive. Even from friends who do not play but pass there tickets to me. I know it is a contest but what about the hard working individuals who spend between $120 – $150 weekly in your store?

    • Customer Care 28/04/2015 at 8:38 pm

Hi Patsy, your feedback is valuable. The game pieces are actually randomly distributed to the different store locations. Your concerns will be taken into consideration for future promotions. ~Liralen

  124. Patsy 27/04/2015 at 7:21 pm

Previous comment should have read “not evenly distributed”. Also “pass their tickets”. I apologize for the errors.

  125. Jessica 04/06/2015 at 5:20 pm

There is a discrepancy between the deadline date (06/09/15) that is printed on the online game tickets and the deadline indicated on the game website (06/02/15). I thought that I had more time to enter my remaining codes online, but the game seems to have ended. I have a good 20-25 codes left to enter. When was the date changed and how was the information distributed?

    • Customer Care 05/06/2015 at 2:42 pm

Hi Jessica. Please check back on the site, you can enter those codes. ~Cristina

  126. Patricia 21/04/2016 at 7:11 pm

I went to shaws this morning and an employee bought something and earned a ticket.
The cashier pulled out a large stack of gold tickets and gave her one of those.
I was next and spent way more than her and I got green tickets.
Are gold tickets only for employees?

    • Customer Support 25/04/2016 at 9:06 pm

Hi Patricia! Yes, the gold tickets are for the employees. To create some excitement for our hard-working Employees, we have developed a completely separate “Employees Game”. It’s a companion game that plays in a similar way, but it uses completely separate game boards and game markers. Employees and members of their households are not eligible to play in the Customer Game and do not play for the $1,000,000 or $500,000 prizes. Also, the pool of prizes they are playing for is completely separate from the prizes in the Customer game. Having Employees playing a separate companion game in no way affects the chances of our valued Customers winning prizes in the MONOPOLY Collect & Win game. Hope this helps! -Rebecca

  127. Dee 20/06/2016 at 6:23 pm

When does the Monopoly game end?

    • Customer Support 21/06/2016 at 8:37 pm

Hi Dee! The Monopoly game ended on 5/3. Sweepstakes entries must have been mailed by regular 1st class mail and postmarked no later than May 18, 2016, and received by May 25, 2016. We’re sorry for any disappointment! –Julio

  128. sheila 06/03/2017 at 8:06 pm

I am debating doing Monopoly again. Last year I received an e-mail that I had a win on the internet submittals I made, but was never able to make contact or even find out what I won. Shouldn’t you still have a record of this???

    • Customer Support 08/03/2017 at 7:36 pm

Sheila, winners were contacted based on information provided on their online entry information. If information is illegible, if person cannot be contacted, or if the person does not respond within fourteen (14) days after email has been sent to the registered email address or by certified mail to the address provided on the mail-in entries, the prize will be deemed forfeited and an alternate winner will be drawn. Sponsor is not responsible if a potential online prize winner does not receive his or her redemption instructions or corresponding prize because an erroneous, fraudulent or bogus email address was provided at the time of registration or if the email is intercepted by SPAM or other email filters, is misdirected or not received for any reason. Thank you for your time. –Julio

  129. sheila 10/03/2017 at 7:31 pm

I told you I received the email at my address. I do not see why you are suggesting that my email address was the problem. The issue was not being able to determine what I won or how to redeem. Do you not have a record? Also, are you saying all prizes were awarded, by alternate, if no claim were made?

  130. Cam Phillip 01/05/2018 at 9:14 am
