1.     Shop at your local Shaw’s between September 7th, 2018 and December 13th, 2018, to collect stamps.
2.     Collect one Saver Stamp for every $10 you spend, 2 stamps for every $20, 3 stamps for every $30, and on and on.

    I think its overkill, 10 bucks for one stamp should be more like 5 bucks for one stamp.

    I also think 1 stamp for every $10.00 is steep for a food container. the Racheal Ray items I can see but not these containers.

    There should be disclosures for what merchandise doesn’t count toward a stamp. I understand beer, cigarettes, gift cards etc. but I was told milk doesn’t count. That seems ridiculous.

    1.6 cup rectangular is $5.99 if you buy it outright? But you save $3.00 if you have 15 stamps (15 stamps x $10.00 per stamp = $150.00 + $2.99 = $152.99) Sounds like someone didn’t do their math correctly.

    Wow. Top item is 60 stamps so that equals $600 dollars spent and you only receive a $15 item. That is outrageous. I would sent the Marketing Department back to the drawing board.

    Christine Davis has a good point about how much is required to get just one stamp. Or maybe make the items need less stamps. As a senior on SS income I save every little leftover and do not have a large budget for the grocery store. So a quicker way to earn Luminarc would really be great.

    This promotion should be calculated for online people-you have data. Sticking stamps for online app people defeats the purpose of registering-so you don’t have to do this manual stuff. Keep it tallied digitally for online people so it’s automatic and the paper+stickers for those not online.

    Your store product prices are two to three times more expensive than other stores and we do not get the equivalent stamps to compensate for these higher costs.

    I agree with the Christine Davis. Also, I think you need too many stamps in order to get the items for free. For example, I’d have to spend $300 in order to get 30 stamps, and all I’d get for that is something worth $5.99. Not much of a deal.

    I just shopped at my local Shaw’s and tried to make sure I had $10. Then with discounts, the total was 20 cents short , so no stamp. How about rounding up to $10 when the total is so close.

    I like getting something for the amount you spend but I agree with Christine $5.00 for one stamp would be much better. I will never spend the time to collect the stamps to win prizes. It takes so much time and in the past 3 years I and many others have won nothing. And everyone needed the same stamps to win a prize. Either they have to give a little more out or I will never do it again.

    Having to spend $300 which translates into 30 points, a minimum sum, redeemable in this promotion for one FREE 1.6 cup square or rectangular bowl… Really? It is definitely time for me to reconsider my participation in yet another quirky promotion!
    Furthermore, if I remember correctly, not every item I purchase is eligible… ;-( !

    So sorry! I am clearly not a fan of these promotions.

    The saver stamps have been 10.00 per stamp since I’ve been seeing the program, and, honestly, That the amount of stamps needed is much less than in previous years I think is great. The previous two years took a lot of stamps for an item. Thank you for having bonus offers that reward us.

    Especially as prices seem to be going up. Also, I am sick and tired of all the promotions that benefit those with ample finds for groceries. I deliver meal on wheels and think it’s time someone made an effort to help those who sometimes have no money at all for food as well as those with lots to spend. Maybe many of us who can afford to eat would be interested in earning points for those who have too little.

    Christine is absolutely right. Ten dollars is way too much. They’re small items, and we all know we overpay at shades unless it’s on sale. Five dollars is more reasonable.

    When I read the first comment, I wondered why this Luminarc offer began in August in some stores but not in mine. (Date of comment is listed as 08/09/2018) After noting that the date of the second comment is 10/09/2018 and the third is 13/09/2018, I realized all comments are from September.

    So why are you not using the standard U.S. date format of mm/dd/yyyy?

    I was excited about the Luminarc containers because I use these at home all the time and would love to get some more. However, I spent over $100.00 yesterday at Shaw’s and now realize I have to spend $300.00 just to get a small container. I’m not sure this promotion is worth it to me. Also I could not use the Just 4 U feature yesterday when I was getting ready to go shopping.

    I am excited about this program because I am able to get free containers that I already like. I like glass containers mostly because I hate how my food tastes when stored in plastic. I am disappointed in all the negativity in the comments I am reading though.

    I think people are viewing this wrong. You’re already grocery shopping and spending money, so why not get something out of it? It’s a bonus, not the sole purpose. Why so negative about how much you can get for free? Do you also go to birthday parties for the sake of how much you get from the party favors or goody bags? Just saying.

    So if I fill a card do I get to pick a container from each catagory. If my card is full I should be able to pick a 30 stamp container, a 40 stamp container, a 50 stamp container and a 60 stamp container.

    I wish the U rewards program would track the tickets. Its not only painful to watch the cashiers tear these tiny tickets , its just as painful for me to watch me try to find them at the bottom of my purse. The quantity of books that the store sent doesn’t match the numbers taken by customers.
    I also agree that the number of tickets need for these items doesn’t;t make it worth all a aggravation.

    YES!! I agree with Kris and Diane. I shop and Shaws anyway because its a great store with great deals and this is just added bonus for me. I use my Rachel Ray products all the time and tell everyone how I got them. My 6 year old son and I enjoy adding and subtracting to see how many more stickers me need. We have tons of fun doing it and love when we have enough to get a FREE prize. I spend 100-200 a week anyway so we end up with 2-4 prizes each time. Thanks Shaws for the great memories with my son and the free stuff.

    Is anything excluded from earning stamps? Wine/beer? I spent over 50 but only earned 4 stamps as per register receipt. Please advise. (I know gift cards are usually exempt.)

    I was surprised today when I bought over $60 of groceries – no alcohol or cigarettes – and only received 4 stamps. You should make it more clear what products are excluded from the program. Why don’t you post it on your website?

    So the best case scenario is that I am ‘gifted’ $0.25 for every $10 I spend–that’s a rate of return of 2.5%. You’re preying on people who don’t know any better and think this is actually an incentive to do business with you. Additionally, the method of distribution of these stamps is beyond flawed; multiple times my cashier has not asked me if I want the stamps. Why isn’t this just done online for people who have accounts? Don’t know if you saw the Globe story the other day but Shaw’s/Star Market didn’t do super well on the price comparison and people remember these predatory promotions.

    So I could buy 5 of these containers from Amazon for $27 w free shipping on Prime, or spend $1,900 at Shaws and get them Free. Ignoring the inconvenience cost of collecting the stamps, that is basically a 1.4% discount as a shopping reward. Since the average grocery chain profit margin is about 1%, this Rewards offer is quite reasonable, since the person taking advantage of it is likely getting their groceries below net cost.

    Yeah not really a great promotion. I mean for example 8.3 cup free with sixty stamps. So spend 600 bucks and you get it for free or you can buy for 14.99. Plus if you buy certain products like um Milk you don’t get it. And if you spend 9.99 you don’t get a stamp unless you save that 9.99 dollar receipt and combine it with the next receipt for .01 and then ask for it. Not really worth the time or energy to get these things.

    can you explain the free item spots? I had an cashier explain to me the other day that if I completely fill my card (60 stamps) that I can choose the large container (60 stamps) and then 4 other items because my free items spaces are filled as well.

    Seriously, I was buying a gallon of organic milk so I decide, as I’m already spending almost $7.00 on an item I get at Trader Joe’s for closer to $5.00, I may as well spend $3.00 more & get a stamp. After 10 minutes of avoiding all the junk food sales I settled on buying clementines. No stamp… milk doesn’t count. For real? As I’m reading through these comments I realize no liquid dairy counts?? To get a list of non-countable items I have to go to the store, stand in line & ask for a list because making sure I round up to the nearest 10th, getting the tiny little stickers & keeping track of it all isn’t hassle enough. I am beside myself at the effort expected of people for something that’s supposed to be fun.

    Okay, sure you have to spend $600 to get the largest container, but at least you get 2 months of free groceries out of that deal 🙂

    But seriously, I wasn’t too into this until I noticed the other day that I happened to have 60 stamps hidden in my coupon drawer, and guys, these are really nice containers. It was a nice perk to be able to grab one for no additional cost along with my regular groceries.

    I had a bit of trouble redeeming them because I wasn’t committed enough to hunt out a card to stick my stickers to, but my cashier was very accommodating and I’m very satisfied as a whole.

    Thanks for offering something that I can get, for spending the same amount that I normally would. Seems simple to me. Shop like normal, over time fill up stamp saver, get something you may not purchase otherwise. We-the consumer, have only things to gain from this promotion. Why are there complaints about the cost? We spend the money anyway folks, just take it for what it is and smile once in a while.

    As a new customer I started collecting stamps a few weeks ago upon moving here. I just came here to find out how and for what I can redeem them for and was really disappointed.

    Seriously I need to spend $600 to get a single $15 item, that’s simply ridiculous. That’s also assuming all of my items qualify and it appears that many staples do not.

    Needless to say they went to the trash and I won’t bother taking anymore.

    I hope you do far better next year or the program is a waste of effort.

    This deal is NOT WORTH the effort. If I need the containers it’s cheaper just to buy them. I am living on SS and only have very little to buy groceries. Please come up with a better promotion for the seniors.

    Too much negative about what it cost! December 14th you get no stamps going towards nothing!! This is just a thanks for shopping and if you want, put the sticker on paper and turn it in! If that is too much work, say no thank you to the clerk… No I am not an employee, just a customer that sometimes participates, more often than not doesn’t! Thanks Shaws for the containers in addition to my groceries!
