The Acacia Carneros Pinot Noir opens beautifully offering layers of red-fruit aromas; Bing cherry, cranberry and sun-ripened raspberry. The aromas ring true on the silky textured palate where the juicy fruit core intermingles with baking spice, black tea and wet stone minerality. The wine offers a fine balance with perfectly ripened Pinot Noir fruit and bright ‘Los Carneros’ acidity, underpinned by the carefully selected oak barrel regiment. This is a refined and elegant style of Pinot Noir offering a graceful and long-lasting finish.
- Acacia takes its name from the lone acacia tree that once stood on this los carneros vineyard. the tree stands tall against the cool winds from the san francisco bay, signaling the chilly conditions that give the carneros region one of the longest growing seasons around.
- This pinot noir opens beautifully, showcasing layers of red-fruit aromas; bing cherry, cranberry and sun-ripened raspberry. on the nose, baking spice and black tea show off an impressive balance of minerality and oak.
- 100% pinot noir, barrel aged for 7 months. 80% french oak, 20% hungarian oak (20% new barrels)
- Serve alongside roasted pork, or a salad with summer berries.
